Caffeine and Octane – June 2013: Here Comes the…Clouds? (344 pictures)

The forecast today called for about a 30% chance of scattered showers. Fortunately, the showers held off. It just stayed cloudy most of the day.

I arrived early, around 6:15, and quickly reserved some spots for the S30s. There was already a Z34 in the lot with the Z Atlanta crew, though the turnout from Z Atlanta was lighter than usual.

With the lack of rain, the crowds turned up. After the lot was full, I set about taking pictures. Later in the morning, a young couple with two small children toured the line of Z cars. Their two boys were so excited. They thought all of the Z cars were race cars! I told the parents to bring their boys over to my car, so they could sit behind the wheel. With any luck I helped to encourage those boys to be part of the next generation of car crazy guys.
